Ludlow Assembly Rooms is offering the public an exciting opportunity to get involved as part of National Volunteer Week, a country-wide initiative to promote volunteering between 1 – 7 June.

As a charity, we couldn’t open our doors without the help of the 130
volunteers who support and dedicate their spare time to our wonderful community arts centre. You’ll find
them at Ludlow Assembly Rooms working hard in all parts of the building: from the ground floor Box Office to the Projection Room; stewarding
films and live shows or helping at the bar or in the Visitor Information Centre.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to make friends, enjoy new experiences and help support a charity, and our volunteers highly recommend it too! “It’s fantastic –
everyone’s so friendly and I love giving something back to the community”.
The Assembly Rooms Volunteer
Co-ordinator, Faraway Gardner-Brown, realises how hard it can be for anyone
thinking of joining the volunteer team. “It can be really difficult
to decide which is the right role for you. Some prefer to use existing skills –
others like to explore something new. Why not come and find out?
We invite anyone thinking of joining us to come and see what’s involved.”
During National
Volunteer Week we’ll be offering potential volunteers the chance to shadow
staff and volunteers as they work. You can experience what it’s like to help
out as a:
·
Bar
Volunteer
·
Visitor
Information Centre Volunteer
·
Steward
·
Digital
Projectionist
We’ll explain the
training and support we can give you in these roles and the chance to
meet those volunteering already.
